Tracking orders and external communications

Generally when we are doing external communications relating to the shopping cart, we try to use a return address of “shop5@oppedahl.com”.  And for the outbound communications we try to remember to do a bcc to shop5, for the benefit of the other people who work on the shopping cart.

One easy way to track an outbound shipment is to go into the shopping cart, and go into Woo, and go into orders, and go into the particular order.  And then scroll down to “Shipping label” and see the “Track Packages” button.  Click on it.  You can then click on a shipping label and track it.  This launches the USPS web site with a deep link to the particular package tracking number.

Another way to track is to go to the right hand column, far down, and you will see a box “shipment tracking”.  This has a link which launches the USPS web site with a deep link to the particular package tracking number.
