Fifteen free-of-charge lectures about the Patent Cooperation Treaty

The subject line says it all — starting on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, I will be presenting fifteen lectures about the PCT.  Thanks to sponsorship from WIPO, these lectures will be free of charge.

Who should attend?  Any practitioner who gives advice to clients about PCT should attend.   Any practitioner who supervises a paralegal that does PCT work (and who is thus responsible for the work carried out by that paralegal) should attend.  Any paralegal that does PCT work should attend.

Should those who are located outside of the US attend?  Yes from time to time we will discuss US-specific aspects of PCT, but nearly all of the topics discussed will be of great interest to PCT enthusiasts located anywhere in the world.

CLE?  No, we have not made plans to seek CLE accreditation for these lectures.

What if I miss one of the fifteen lectures?  In almost every lecture we will draw upon material covered in earlier lectures.  If you miss a lecture, we suggest downloading and studying the presentation slides for that lecture.  In addition, you may find it helpful to watch the recorded video of the corresponding Schwegman lecture from 2022.

When may I download the slides?  We are presently editing each slide deck to bring it as up to date as possible.  As each slide deck is finalized, we will make it available as a link in the table below.

What time of day is each webinar?  We strongly urge you to use the “add to calendar” function when registering for each webinar.  This will enter the webinar into your calendar in your own time zone.  But to answer your question, each webinar will commence at 11AM Mountain Time.

I almost missed hearing about these fifteen free-of-charge lectures.  How can I make sure that I learn about future opportunities for PCT training?  To make sure that you learn about future opportunities for PCT training, do these things:
