The National Institute of Industrial Property of Argentina (INPI) had already been trendy, modern, and up-to-date, having joined the DAS system on October 1, 2019 (blog article). Today’s news is that INPI has become even more trendy, modern and up-to-date. It now participates in DAS in more ways.
On September 1, 2023, INPI became an Accessing Office for national industrial design applications and national trademark applications.
- Not only that, as of November 1, 2023, INPI will become a Depositing Office for national industrial design applications and national trademark applications.
INPI had already been a Depositing Office and an Accessing Office for some years now, for national patent applications and for utility model applications.
Of course what everybody continues to wait for is Argentina hopefully eventually Real Soon Now joining the PCT.
