Are the webinars CLE-accredited? It takes tens of hours and voluminous paperwork, as well as lots of fee payments, to obtain CLE accreditation in the 37 or so states that provide CLE accreditations. Most of those states have procedures that favor very large and high-volume CLE businesses and that favor providers that are located in-state. We find most of the states to be distinctly unfriendly to small low-volume educational providers such as our firm, both in terms of fees to be paid and paperwork to be suffered through. We would have to charge a very high registration fee to cover the time and fees and paperwork for CLE accreditation. So no, these free-of-charge webinars are not CLE-accredited.
